Here's one for the old-school gamers

Those of you old enough to remember PCs as the première platform for games may remember the name Chris Roberts, perhaps most famous in the games industry for helping to bring the Wing Commander series and Strike Commander to realisation during his time with Origin, and later, StarLancer and Freelancer while with Digital Anvil. If you haven't heard about it already, he's returned his from time in the film industry to announce a brand-new, high-end space-sim game for the PC. I admit, I hardly have time for games these days, but even so I'm quite interested in (and excited by) this new ambitious proposal. If you miss games designed for PCs first, not as an afterthought, or miss the fun days of saving the universe in the by-gone era of space-sim games - or both - I really think you ought to have a look at what's on offer.

Irrelevant news to the art world? Perhaps, but in this case, not entirely. has distinguished himself by providing the first fan art for the project. If you like Wing Commander art, fantasy characters, or impressive drawings in general, you should have a look at the rest of his work as well.
